People cost money, when someone orders a re-install for their dedicated server, it's a physical human who has to stop what they are doing, go out to the DC Floor, locate their server, bring the server Back to the build room, re-load the OS, re-setup all the Ip addresses, internal db stuff, etc... mount your old drive (Most of the time it's requested) get the techs to re-install any extra stuff (like control panels, etc).. take it back out to the DC, test it from console, come back and update your ticket to let you know it's complete.
And That's if it's a single drive or two with no RAID...
OS Reload are a flat $50 per server.
WE DO NOT LIST AND HAVE NEVER ADVERTISED FREE OS RELOADS ON OUR SITE.
Ocassionally a tech might perform a complementary OS reload at their discretion. This does not negate the policy mentioned above and is considered on a case by case basis.
