Why do the normal cpanel login links not work?

Why do the normal cpanel login links not work like...

 

mydomain.com/cpanel

mydomain.com/webmail

ftp.mydomain.com

 

While having all those "convenient" links are nice and pretty they also leak your back-end IP to DDOS Attackers.

A determined and skilled attacker will eventually find your back-end IP but there is no reason to put up road signs to it.

If you are a DDOS client you will have alternate login links in your welcome email.
